Interesting fact: In 2022, I did an unplanned solo motorbike trip through the dirt roads of Nepal’s Himalayas. Over seven days, I rode from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Jomsom, and Muktinath (12,500 ft.), staying in the homes of strangers in remote villages and receiving unexpected kindness from locals and fellow travelers along the route. Just miles away from my final destination, Lo Manthang (last village before reaching China) I felt the adventure had already given me more than I’d imagined. So I stopped, turned my motorbike around in the middle of the road, and headed back home.
